Frequently Asked Questions

What does your forklift truck hire contract include?

Our standard forklift truck hire agreement includes all repair & maintenance of the equipment excluding accidental damage or abuse by the operator. We will agree service intervals with you dependent on the type of forklift being hired from us & the length of the contract agreed. Our forklifts are all LOLER certified & inspected at the appropiate intervals to fulfil HSE requirements.

What size or type of forklift truck do I need?

Hiring a forklift is not that straight forward & it really depends on individual circumstances. There are a number of factors to consider including:

Size & dimensions

Lift Height

Working indoor or outdoors or both

As part of our service we are happy to complete a free site survey & discuss your requirements to ensure that you get the correct forklift for the job.

What is the minimum length of hire for a forklift truck?

We are completely flexible with the contract hire period & are happy to work with you on this. We don't aim to tie you into long agreements as we understand your circumstances & requirements can change. You can hire our forklifts from one day through to a number of years.

What area do you cover?

We hire & maintain forklifts throughout the majority of the West Midlands, Black Country & into Staffordshire. Some of the towns & districts we cover include the following: Aldridge, Bentley, Bilston, Birchills, Bloxwich, Brownhills, Cannock, Coseley, Darlaston, Dudley, Great Barr, Great Wyrley, Pelsall, Oldbury, Rushall, Sedgley, Tipton, Walsall, Walsall Wood, Wednesbury, Wednesfield, West Bromwich, Willenhall & Wolverhampton. If you are in or close to one of these areas then please contact us.

I want an electrical powered forklift truck, do I need a special electricity supply to charge it?

Yes. Electric powered forklifts require charging by a 3 Phase electric supply. This would need to be installed by a qualified electrician at your work premises. We can recommend electricians if required.

What are my responsibilities as a customer?

You must possess a "hired in plant" insurance policy & the forklift truck must be operated by a qualified operator. The forklift must be used in a responsible manner & used on the terrain it is designed for. Forklifts must not be overloaded by exceeding the tonnage capacity.

I can't see the forklift truck I require on your website, can you still help?

Yes. We have access to a wide variety of forklift trucks. Due to the many variations in size, type & capacity it is virtually impossible to list everything available.

Do you have any forklifts available for sale?

We occassionally have forklift trucks available for sale. Due to our experience & many contacts built up over the years we can more than likely help you if you require to purchase a forklift truck outright. We can also help with the servicing & LOLER certification of your own forklift truck if required.

How do I pay for my forklift rental?

All of our forklift truck hire agreements differ in length & cost & payment terms are agreed dependent on the length of the contract. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, paypal & BACS payments. We are V.A.T registered & supply V.A.T invoices for all forklift rentals.

Why should I bother hiring when I can buy a cheap forklift truck I've seen on the Internet?

This a question that many customers ask. There are many cheap forklifts available on the internet & elsewhere to buy outright. We advise all customers to take into account a number factors before deciding whether to buy a "cheap" forklift truck or to hire one.
